Alex's day (8/16) as being an
Honorary Crew Member Winner

A drawing was held at the end of July of all the Mike Gardner
Fan Club members.  Alex was the lucky winner and selected 8/16 to be the
race he would attend.  His afternoon/evening of events started at the Six Crew
Garage in Appleton, Wisconsin at approximately 2:30 in the afternoon.
We enjoyed having him very much and are looking
forward to giving someone else a chance at being an honorary crew
member next year as well.

Took Alex on a tour of
the shop and trailer.
Seen here in the trailer.		 On his way to the track
in the hauler.		 At the track.
Alex got in the car, car
was still in trailer, but had
to be unloaded and we
needed someone to steer.

Towards the end of
helping unloading the car -
just coming out of the trailer
onto the ramps.		 In the pits prior to the races. Mike setting up the radio
in the car and showing
Alex what is done to get
ready for inspection and
then qualifying.

In the stands learning
the system to take times, also
listening to the officials,
other drivers and Mike
on the scanner for the
evening.		 At the end of the night Alex
came down into the pits and
posed for a picture with
Mike.		 Alex also helped load the
car at the end of the evening.
This wrapped up his evening
of being an honorary Pit
Crew Member.
     
   
 
    
A few weeks later
we received a very nice
thank you from Alex.
We are looking forward to
giving another boy or girl a
chance to have this same
experience in the future.
